Endued With Power

September 1, 2017

God has endued us with power from on high.

And behold, I will send forth upon you what my Father has promised:  but remain in the city [Jerusalem] until you are clothed with power from on high. (Luke 24:49)

Power – “authority”.

Endue – to put on and to be clothed with; to be skilled

(Luke 10:19) “Behold, I give unto you power and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

(Hebrews 2:14) “ . . . He himself in a similar manner partook of the same [nature] of human beings], He himself partook of the same [nature], that by [going through] death He might bring to nought and make of no effect him who had the power of death – that is, the devil.”

With (God = Jesus = Word of God) on your side you cannot be defeated!!!  There is power (authority) in the Word.  Jesus used the Word to overcome satan’s temptations.

If satan is prevailing over you and defeating you, then it has to be for one of the following reasons:  (1) A lack of knowledge of your authority over him; (2) knowing your authority, but failing to act upon it; (3) knowing and using your authority, but giving up too quickly because you are deceived into thinking that you cannot win.  Jesus you are my strength in the time of trouble, disappointment, and discouragement.

Trials and adversities may come our way, but they cannot keep us from living a victorious life.  Psalm 34:19 states “Many evils confront the consistently righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” With God on your side, you cannot be defeated if you trust in , rely, and are confident in the Lord Jesus Christ.

No matter what comes against us, it will not succeed if we stand in the authority that Jesus has conferred upon us.  In Luke 10:19 we read, “Behold I give unto you power to tread upon serpents, and scorpions, and over all of the power of the enemy, and by no means shall anything hurt you.”

As a Child of God, you have the power to overcome.  According to I John 4:4, God said that,  “. . .you are of God  and have defeated and overcome them [the agents of antichrist], because he who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world.”

Walking in Victory “That You Have Overcome”

Victory means deliverance, help, safety, and triumph.

Triumph means to overcome, conquer, joyful, and rejoice.

Victory is a sign that you have overcome conditions and circumstances through dependence on Jesus Christ, which is the only way you can experience victory.  When one has overcome a negative condition or circumstance, his natural response is to rejoice because he is no longer pinned under or bound by the condition or circumstance.  Therefore, he becomes free to experience joy which yields rejoicing = triumph = victory.

(Romans 8:37)  “ . . . in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him (Jesus Christ) that loves us.”

(I John 5:4-5) “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world:  and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God.”

(Revelation 12:11)  “And they overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus Christ), and by the word of their testimony . . .”

Defeat is not God’s plan for your life.

The key to remaining UNDEFEATED is believing, trusting, and relying on the Word of God.  This requires using the R-Reading S-Studying;M- Meditating method.  As you engage in the R-S-M  Method, you will develop a closer relationship with Jesus Christ and experience true love, joy, and peace beyond measure – heavenly treasure.

When you use the power God has given you, everything you do succeeds, flourishes, and thrives because of the Word working mightily in you.  Jesus is your strength in the time of trouble, disappointment, and discouragement.  He is the peace that calms all of my storms, and removes all of my fears.  He is the rock upon which I stand, and upon which my faith is founded.  He takes you to higher spiritual heights, so you can soar on the wings of understanding and wisdom.

Wisdom is the principal thing, and requires you to lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all of your heart, mind, and soul.  It requires knowing and recognizing that God is ALL MIGHTY and POWERFUL and acknowledging Him in all things.

Karmen A. Booker has been called by God to exhort and teach others the Word of God.  She is the founder of Wings of Love Women’s Ministry (WLWM), which is a network of Christian women. Our endeavor is to create an atmosphere and forum where women can realize healing and spiritual growth, while cultivating their God-given gifts and ministering in their local churches and their communities and the world.

WLWM’s desire is to connect with other women who have battled abuse in their lives, and who have been held back from moving forward for whatever reason. We seek to encourage victims of abuse to go forth and grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ with more commitment & boldness, knowing that through healing and restoration “the good work God has began in them He will complete.’’

She has produced ministry resources that are designed to equip and encourage women to grow in their spiritual walk with Jesus Christ, and discover and fulfill their God-given purpose for the Advancement of the Kingdom of God.

Peace Be Still

March 30, 2017

Like the storm raged against the boat, storms such as financial loss, loss of a loved one, sickness can rage in our lives. However, we must have faith (dependence, trust, and confidence) in God to give us peace in the midst of the storm. If you do not have faith, then the storms of life will overtake you and consume you so that we become weak and utterly destroyed.

If you keep our minds focused on Jesus Christ (Word of God), rather than your circumstances, then we will live a life filled with joy and peace; knowing that God is your strength and deliverer. God says in John 14:27 to cast all our burdens upon the Lord and He will give you rest.

God give you peace. As a child of God this is part of your inheritance. However, you must receive God’s gift of peace.

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

Accepting the Peace of God is a choice. If you decide to accept His peace, you will remain at peace in spite of the fear and worry that the world promotes. You will be at peace in the midst of trials and tribulations. These trials and tribulations are designed to strengthen your faith, and enhance your endurance, steadfastness and patience. You will be able to stand surefooted on the Word of God, trusting the Lord Jesus Christ in spite of negative circumstances.

Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.” (James 1:3-4)

However, if you do not accept God’s peace, you experience doubt, worry, and fear. You will experience a life of restlessness, rather than restfulness. Putting God first is the antidote to doubt, fear and worry.

When you accept the peace God gives you, the negativity and wickedness cannot and will not affect you.

“If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.” (John 15:19)

I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.” (John 17:14)

Remember, you are “in the world, but not of the world”. That is, you don’t’ live by the ideals, customs, and attitudes of the world, but by the principles of God’s Word. God’s Word is your Instructional manual for life. It rules and reigns in your life. Your thoughts and actions become aligned with the Word of God.

“And let the peace from Christ rule in your hearts (deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as one body you were also called to live. And be thankful (appreciative), giving praise to God always.” (Colossians 3:15)

The trials and tribulations you experience draw you closer to God and His Word. Thereby, increasing your faith in God to help you overcome your trials and tribulations. “Great deliverances and triumphs gives He to His king; and He shows mercy and steadfast love to His anointed, to David and his offspring forever.” (Psalm 18:50)

“Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” (Romans 10:17)

If you have faith in the Word of God, and endure the trials and tribulations until the victory is manifested, you will surely develop patience and steadfastness in moving forward in life = doing what God is leading you to do and fulfilling your God-given purpose.
