The Unshakable Kingdom

July 22, 2018

If you have given your life to Christ and accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, then you are Born Again, and are a child of God.

A child of God belongs to the Kingdom of God.  The Kingdom of God is an unshakable kingdom because its creator and founder, God is all powerful; all mighty; omnipotent; omniscient, and omnipresent.  God is unshakable.

God, who created the world and sustains the world, sustains the Kingdom of God.  He is faithful and steadfast.  All of His promises are true. God fulfills all of His promises (Isaiah 55:11)

As a member of the Unshakable Kingdom of God, you become unshakable and unmovable.  Even though you may have lost your job, you may be soaked in debt, or you may have lost a loved one, you will remain unshakable and unmovable in God as long as you maintain faith and trust in God and His Word.

“Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.  In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.  Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil.”  (Proverbs 3:5-7)

The world around you may collapse, but you will not collapse because God has your back.  He will never leave you or forsake you.

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed

he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.

For each scene he noticed two sets of

footprints in the sand: one belonging

to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,

he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of

his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very

lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he

questioned the LORD about it:

“LORD, you said that once I decided to follow

you, you’d walk with me all the way.

But I have noticed that during the most

troublesome times in my life,

there is only one set of footprints.

I don’t understand why when

I needed you most you would leave me.”

The LORD replied:

“My son, my precious child,

I love you and I would never leave you.

During your times of trial and suffering,

when you see only one set of footprints,

it was then that I carried you.”

“Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent. For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service].”  (Psalms 91:911)

“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness–trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].  He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.”  (Psalms 91:14-15)

“Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil,  for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.  You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with [a]oil; my [brimming] cup runs over.  Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place.”   (Psalm 23:4-6)

You are Not Valueless But VALUABLE

July 22, 2018

In Psalm 139:14, it says  “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:  marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”

The Hebrew word for fearfully is “yare” which means reverence.

The Hebrew word for wonderfully is “palah”, which means to distinguish; put a difference; show marvelous; set apart.

You are valuable because God made you fearfully and wonderfully.  He distinguished you and set you apart through your uniqueness.  For example, everybody has a nose, but not everyone has the same nose shape.  Everybody has a mouth, but not everyone has the same shape.

With your uniqueness, come spiritual gifts.

 1.         Spiritual gifts are special abilities.

Therefore, spiritual gifts are not the same as natural talents or skills.

Given by Holy Spirit Natural abilities Learned abilities
Discovered after spiritual birth Present from natural birth Acquired with training
God given to all members of the Body of Christ God given to all members of humanity Developed by people over time

2.         . . . that God gives to every believer.

“All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines”. (1 Corinthians 12:11)

3.         . . . to build up the Body of Christ . . .

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” (1 Peter 4:10)

“. . . so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”  (Ephesians 4:12-13)

4.         . . . and equip them for ministry to the world

“And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end.”  (Matthew 24:14)

“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.  For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;  To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;  To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:  But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.  For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.”  (I Corinthians 12:7-12)

You have a place where you are suppose to be in the Body of Christ pursuant to God’s predestined plan for your life.

You can’t make yourself an evangelist when God has predestined and ordained you to be a teacher. There is no need to make a claim that you are a teacher.  Just do the work of one (bear fruit) and people will know that you are a teacher.  If your God-given gift is to exhort (encourage), then do the work of an exhorter, and people will identify you as such.  Some think they are positions of prestige, but they are stations of service.  Don’t demand people to call you a particular title, just do what God has called you to do.

“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.  If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”  (I Peter 4:10-11)

“Consider it wholly joyful my brethren, whenever you encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations.  Be assured and understand that the trial and providing of your faith bring out endurance, steadfastness and patience.”

According to this scripture, trials and temptations are designed to try your faith.  That is, to see if you really believe and trust in the promises of God.  As you go through the trial or temptation, you will either falter in your faith (belief and trust in God) or grow in your faith (belief and trust in God).  Moreover, as you grow in faith, you grow in longsuffering (endurance) perseverance (steadfastness) and patience (waiting expectantly).

We must engage in spiritual warfare using spiritual weapons.  These weapons are not carnal, but spiritual.  (II Corinthians 10:3-4)  We must use (put on) the Armor of God as outlined in (Ephesians 6:10-18).  Out of the whole armor of God, the Sword of the Spirit is the most powerful because it is the Word of God. (Hebrews 4:12)

Therefore, when you speak the Word of God with faith, you are cutting down the sickness, oppression, discouragement, doubt and unbelief, and deception – demonic forces that plague you with.

Remember, “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and wickedness in high places.”  (Ephesians 6:12)  When the devil came to Jesus and tried to tempt him, Jesus said in (Matthew 4:4) “. . . it is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”  The devil tried to tempt Jesus a second time when he took Jesus into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, and saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down; for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee:  and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.  Jesus said unto the devil, “It is written again Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.”  (Matthew 4:5-7)

The devil tried to tempt Jesus a third time when he took Jesus into a high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, and said unto him, all these things will I give thee if thou will fall down and worship me.  Then Jesus said to the devil, “Get thee hence, Satan:  for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.  Then the devil left him, and angels came and ministered unto him.”  (Matthew 4:10-11)

Notice that after Jesus Christ confessed the Word of God, the devil could no longer tempt Him, and he departed (left) Jesus.  The same thing occurs, when we confess the Word of God, with faith believing and trusting in the Word we have confessed.  The plots and tactics (trials and/or temptations) terminate (end) and we are victorious (the winner).

We are to glory (be joyous) in tribulations because the tribulations enhance patience, and patience experience, and experience hope.  (Romans 5:3-4)  Hope in the power and strength of the Word of God.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”  (Romans 8:25)

Tribulations and temptations we experience in our lives work for our good by:

  1. Increasing our faith (belief, trust and confident reliance on God and His Word;
  2. Strengthening us spiritually; and
  3. Giving us a testimony to testify of the goodness, grace, and mercy of God, and the victorious power of the Word of God.

When we confess the Word of God we overcome the devil and all of his evil plots, plans, and schemes, and are VICTORS IN JESUS CHRIST.  We are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ. (Romans 8:37)  So when tribulations and temptations come, know that God is with you and will deliver you if you confess (speak) the Word of God with faith believing and trusting.

Scriptures to meditate on:

Psalm 9:9                                 Isaiah 26:3-4

Psalm 37:5                               Matthew 21:22

Proverbs 3:5-7                         Mark 9:23

Proverbs 29:5                          Mark 11:23-26

Trust Me and I Will Bring it to Pass

Think Small and You’ll Stay Small

Magnify the solution – GOD’S WORD

My people are in survival mode and it is not God’s Best.  Ruling and reigning is God’s Best.

There is a difference between survival and overcoming.  When God restores HE does not bring back to original condition.

Restoration – Multiply; increase; improve, and make better.

God is unlimited, but man can limit Him by continually asking can God do . . . Say “God Can”.

God wants me to remove the limitations I’ve placed on God and myself.

Desire – intense longing; it is easy to imagine myself having it.  I will go into action and will not quit until I possess it.

Process is as follows:

See it in the Word.

  1. Seeing it causes you to desire it.
  2. Imagine having it in my thoughts.
  3. I believe I receive it when I pray.
  4. I shall have it.

I’m increasing my ability to receive by increasing my thinking.  If I can conceive it, I can receive it.

I can shape for myself a better future by reshaping my thoughts NOW!!!

Poverty – a mental and spiritual disease.  What destroys the poor man is his inability to see himself any other way but poor.

My life tends to go in the direction of my most dominant thoughts.

If you can’t imagine it, you’ll never experience it.  Negative imaginations attract negative situations.  You get in life exactly what you sow, and it begins with a thought, idea, and concept.

Most successful people are those who have acquired the ability to see the possible although it looks impossible. The greater your capacity to see possibilities, where others see impossibilities, then the greater your success will be.
