“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” (III John 2- KJV)
“But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.” (Matthew 6:33 – AMP)
“So be patient, brethren, [as you wait] till the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits expectantly for the precious harvest form the land. See how he keeps up his patient vigil over it until it receives the early and late rains. So you also must be patient. Establish your hearts [strengthen and confirm them in the final certainty], for the coming of the Lord is very near.” (James 5:7-8 AMP)
In the scripture we see that the farmer waits expectantly for the harvest from the land. He first planted the seed. You can’t produce a harvest without planting a seed. The farmer continued to nurture and fertilize the seed he planted. He didn’t just plant it and go on about his business. He diligently (actively and consistently) nurtured the seed. We as believers in Jesus Christ must do the same. We must plant the seed (Word of God) in our hearts and we will reap a harvest of strength, peace, joy, unspeakable joy), and immeasurable and unlimited power. Faith pulls the seed (Word of God) into our hearts and minds so that we can produce good fruit.
“For this reason we also, form the day we heard of it, have not ceased to pray and make [special] request for you, [asking] that you may be filled with the full (deep and clear) knowledge of His Will in all spiritual wisdom [in comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God] and in understanding and discernment of spiritual things — That you may walk (live and conduct yourselves) in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him and desiring to please Him in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing and increasing in and by the knowledge of God [with fuller, deeper, and clear insight, acquaintance, and recognition].” (Colossians 1;9 – AMP)
An evil (wicked) heart cannot bear good fruit, only evil and wicked fruit. A good (pure) heart cannot bear evil fruit, only good fruit. You see, the fruit is a direct byproduct of the heart. If the heart is full of hatred, bitterness, lying, lust of the flesh and every kind of evil, then it will produce the same. On the other hand, if the heart is full of love, joy, and peace, it will produce love and exemplify peace.
“Who shall go up in to the mountain of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His Holy Place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted himself up to falsehood or to what is false, nor sworn deceitfully He shall receive blessings from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.” (Psalm 24:3-5)
The purification of the heart and the renewing of our mind is an ongoing process, for God wants us to be entire (complete), not partial (incomplete).
“Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customers], but be transformed (changed by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitutde], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].
For by the grace (unmerited favor of god) given to me I warn everyone among you not to estimate and think of himself more highly than he ought [not to have an exaggerated opinion of his own importance], but to rate the ability with sober judgement, each according to the degree of faith apportioned by God to him.” (Romans 12:2-3 – AMP)
Jesus Wants You To Come Up Higher
Come Up Higher – Soar in the heavenlies by leaving the valleys and pressing toward your calling in Christ. As you continue to press inward to Christ and outward to those who need Jesus Christ, you will soar spiritually, mentally, and physically.
You will reach new heights in your persona relationship with Jesus Christ and with others (husband, wife, relatives, and friends).
“Come Up Higher” says the Lord. Cling to my wings and I will carry you to higher heights and deeper depths. “How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God? Therefore, the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart. “ (Psalm 36:7-10 KJV)
