Fountain of Living Waters

Fountain of Living Waters (Jeremiah 2:13)

A cistern is a tank that holds water.

Your heart is like a cistern that holds the Word of god.  A broken cistern – cant’ hold the Word of God, which is the source of our prosperity and abundant life –  a life filled with love, joy, peace and victory.

“. . . we are more than conquerors through Him that loves us.”  (Romans 8:37)

“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.  Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart . For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”  (Proverbs 4:20-22)

Unless there is a holding place for the Word of God, it cannot take root in our spirit and bear fruit through our good works.  Neither can it uplift us and nurture our spirit so that we can spiritually mature (grow in the knowledge and understanding of God’s word) and reach new heights in Jesus Christ.

We won’t prosper spiritually, emotionally, or physically because the source of our prosperity (the Word – the Living Waters – Jesus Christ) is not present.  Jesus Christ has been replaced by something that cannot facilitate growth. Consequently, we begin to experience poverty in the form of lack in all areas of our lives – spiritual deficiency (lack of unity with God, peace and joy), breakdown of marriages, and family relationships, and the withering of our very soul.

“Jesus replied, I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me will never be hungry, and he who believes in and cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me will never thirst any more (at any time).” (John 6:35)

Where the fountain of living waters is, flows love, joy and peace everlasting.  Once we drink from it, we will never thirst, and once we have eaten the fruit produced from the living waters, we will never hunger.

“Now on the final and most important day of the Feast, Jesus stood, and He cried in a loud voice, if any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink!  He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water.”   (John 7:37-38)

It will cause us to reach heights thought unreachable, and soar to levels of faith unimaginable to man.

The fountain of living waters is indeed a fountain overflowing with nourishment essential for our growth in holiness and righteousness.

DON’T DELAY, partake of the Fountain of Living Waters everyday, and cause your life to be transformed into righteousness, exemplified by a life of love, joy, and peace.

Karmen A. Booker has been called by God to exhort and teach others the Word of God.  She is the founder of Wings of Love Women’s Ministry (WLWM), which creates an atmosphere and forum where women can realize healing and spiritual growth, while cultivating their God-given gifts and ministering in their local churches and their communities and the world.

WLWM’s desire is to connect with other women who have battled abuse in their lives, and who have been held back from moving forward for whatever reason. We seek to encourage victims of abuse to go forth and grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ with more commitment & boldness, knowing that through healing and restoration “the good work God has began in them He will complete.’’

WLWM offers ministry resources such as “Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts”, which is designed to encourage you to discover your God-given spiritual gifts so you can use them to help and bless others, while growing in your personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
